Summary: Reader is Sabrina and Ambrose’s cousin. You were fully aware of the abusive relationship between your boyfriend, Harvey and his dad. Some nights, Harvey would come to your window at night after a fight with his dad.
Warnings: NOTHING BUT FLUFF.
You were in bed, asleep when you heard soft knocks on your bedroom window. Your eyes opened slowly, hearing the combination of light rain outside and soft tappings. You sat up and looked out the window to see your boyfriend, Harvey. He smiled at you softly. You returned a sleepy smile and went to unlock the latch on the window. His head popped into the window and you gave his cheek a kiss. “Hi, baby.” He said. You stepped backwards to allow him to come in. He closed the window then turned to you. “I’m sorry I woke you up.”
“Hi.” You wrapped your arms around his waist and rested your head on his chest as you closed your eyes. “Are you okay?” You asked softly, knowing that he probably got into a fight with his dad.
You took his hand and pulled him towards your bed. He took off his raincoat and put it on your chair. You scooted to the side to make room for him. You watched him tiredly as he took of his shoes and hopped onto your bed.
You put your hand on his cheek and noticed that his eyes were red and slowly forming a bruise. He looked at you sadly. “You’ve been crying.” You said gently.
“My dad is taking his anger out on me. Ever since Tommy went missing.” He said as a new tear escaped his eye. You used your thumb to wipe it away.
You put your forehead against his and both of you closed your eyes. “I’m so sorry, Harvey. For everything.” You said as you kissed his cheek. He doesn’t deserve any of this. He deserves nothing but love. Your heart ached at the sight of his bruised eye. You would cast a hex on his dad if you could. But your aunties and cousins wouldn’t be too happy.
“It’s not your fault, (y/n). Don’t worry about me.”
“How can I not worry about you, Harvey? You always have a black eye every other day and it hurts to see you in pain. I wish I could stop it. Some times I wish you could stay with me forever.” You said against his chest. He pushed away the stray hairs on your face and brought your hand up to his lips and gave it a kiss.
“I love you so much, (y/n). More than anything in this world. But I’m sure your aunties wouldn’t wanna see me everyday.” He chuckled.
“You know that’s not true. They love you. And Ambrose and Sabrina.”
“Brina doesn’t know I sneak into your room some times, does she?” He asked, eyebrows raised.
“Nope.”
After a bit of silence, you broke the silence. You didn’t want him going home tonight after what his dad did to him. You looked over at your boyfriend to see if he was awake. “Harvey?”
“Yeah?” He mumbled against your hair.
“Are you spending the night?”
“If you want me to.”
“Of course I want you to. Harvey, you can stay as long as you want. I’m sure my family won’t mind.” You reassured him, wanting him to stay with you instead of at his house with his abusive dad.
“Okay, baby. Thanks for always taking care of me.” He said tiredly until he drifted off to sleep. You kissed his cheek, thinking about how the world doesn’t deserve Harvey Kinkle. To Harvey, you were his forever home.
