Hala is the leader of the Brontide Herd, a group of centaur known in the region for being particularly wild and violent. The local villages are often required to give up their able bodied as slaves to the centaur, in return for not being destroyed. Despite only numbering around 12 or so in total, the herd is capable of incredible damage, particularly to vital farmlands and barrier walls.
Hala himself is the offspring of a giantess and a draft centaur, making him the largest known member of his species. He was also born with peculiar golden markings, shared by his mother.
After a run in with a mage that beat his ass and scarred his skin, Hala has a particular interest in spellcasters.
